Issues of Proof in Criminal Theft Cases Committed Through the Internet

The aim of this final qualification work is to develop methods to increase the efficiency of the disclosure of theft committed through the Internet. The way to achieve this goal lies through solving the following tasks: to identify the most common forms of such crimes, ways to hide their traces; establish the most effective methods of investigating criminal cases of theft committed through the Global Network; identifying ways to solve the problems of the law enforcement system that adversely affect the effectiveness of the disclosure of crimes of this kind. As a result of the current study, a review was carried out of the most common methods of embezzlement via the Internet and the methods and means used by criminals to hide their traces, as well as recommendations for improving the law enforcement system of the Russian Federation, in particular, methods for investigating these crimes are proposed, which will increase the effectiveness of the state’s fight against theft committed through the Internet.
