An Option Contract in Russian Law

The object of the study are relations arising in connection with the application of the construction of an option contract provided for by Art. 429.3 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation.During the study, domestic and foreign literature was studied, as well as the relevant regulatory framework and judicial practice. The author identifies problems regarding the option contract that are still not resolved both in science and in practice. This scientific study aims to comprehensively study the concept of an option contract, its essence and main features. in the process of work, the author studies the main approaches to understanding the option contract, its legal nature, as well as the main features that arise in the process of concluding this contract. In addition, the study reflects a comparative analysis of the option contract and related categories.By the end of the study, the author comes to unambiguous conclusions about the concept, nature of the option contract, its place in the systematization of Russian civil law. In addition, many practical problems related to the application of the option contract design were resolved.
