A serious problem today is the preservation of historical heritage. There are a huge number of abandoned buildings on the territory of Russia. But there are people who are interested in restoring these beautiful places, publicly encouraging others to get involved. The purpose of this graduate paper is: to examine carefully materials related to study the topic of abandoned farmsteads and their ruins, to justify the choice of the theme and interest in the past that takes place in the present, to try to find similarities between different life fates and determine the point of no return to the former appearance and civilised society.
