Keywords: automation technology, simulation In this paper, we consider the basic automation methods and modeling tools for complex warehouse systems, and also described initiatives of creation an automated system for handling goods in warehouse. As part of the initiative attention has been paid to developing an algorithm for designing this system, developing a model for finding its optimal parameters. The relevance of this work is that more and more companies are beginning to realize the importance of implementing automation as a way to significantly increase the productivity of warehouses and hard-to-copy competitive advantage. 5.
