The development of Internet together with efforts of Russian retail chains to improve the quality of service has become a reason of the online food sales start. Companies which developed such a service are faced with the problem of creating a logistics strategy and designing a distribution network. The experience shows that there are many combinations of network links, which could be used to organize the picking and delivery of orders. Companies will be able to satisfy the requirements of customers with the optimal level of costs by correctly chosen network links and ways of delivery. The study is aimed to create an approach that allows a company with a distribution network for traditional retail to develop a logistics strategy for organizing multi-channel trading. The result of the study is a method which could be used for designing a logistics strategy for organizing multi-channel trading with a focus on the online sales. The justification of the viability of the proposed tool is the economic efficiency achieved by using the approach in the Russian federal trading network.
