Assessment of Factors that Affect the Dynamics of World Oil Prices at the Present Stage

The purpose of the study is to identify the essence of the transformation of the oil market, as well as to evaluate the effectiveness of the market mechanism. In the dissertation the evolution of pricing mechanisms in the world oil market is examined, a comparative analysis of groups of factors that affect the formation of prices is made, price forecasts using linear regression models are realized. As a result, the significance of energy security as one of the main strategic guidelines of the state policy of the countries is proved, the peculiarities of the development of pricing mechanisms and trends in the development of the energy market are revealed.
