Nowadays Russia has problems with the development of a culture of grief and supporting mechanisms for people experiencing the loss of a loved one. A person, who has faced the death of a relative or friend, has difficulty showing their emotions and working on the trauma that occurs after the loss. Often, society is not able to support such a person, since there are no ways to properly and carefully express sympathy. Moreover, the experience of people, who watch someone else's death at work (ambulance doctors, priests, people from the sphere of funeral services), is rarely discussed. Thus, a certain taboo was formed on the theme of death and grief. Our podcast about the experience of death «Two Carnations» is aimed at solving this acute problem through interviews with people, who, at different ages, have lost a relative or friend, and those, who work with death every day. The project combines expert assessments and stories of characters of different generations, which also contributes to the diversity and wider analysis that are needed in the public sphere to discuss the theme of death and grief. The podcast allows you to better represent the emotions of those, who find themselves in a situation of severe grief, and can also be useful for journalists, who write or talk about death in their professional field.
