Freedom of Mass Media in Modern Russia: Constitutional Foundations and Legal Restrictions

The research is devoted to the problems of mass information freedom in modern Russia. The subject of the research is the legal problems of constitutional foundations and legal restrictions on freedom of mass information in modern democratic Russia. The final qualifying work contains 79 pages, which include an introduction, two chapters, two paragraphs in the first Chapter and four paragraphs in the second Chapter, conclusion and references. The first Chapter of the work reveals the legal nature of freedom of mass information and its reflection in the law of Russia. The article deals with the main laws that establish the freedom of mass information. The Chapter also presents various scientific approaches to the problem under study and defines the concepts that should be followed when conducting research. The second Chapter is devoted to restrictions on freedom of mass information in Russia, including the legal content of the concepts "restriction of freedom of mass information" and "censorship", the analysis of legal restrictions on freedom of mass information established by law, and the problem of censorship in Russia. The research also reflects a thorough study of the problem of restricting the freedom of mass information, related to protection from activities aimed at undermining the foundations of the state and the constitutional system of the Russian Federation, where relevant and controversial judicial practice is touched upon. The last paragraph of the second Chapter reveals the problems of restricting the freedom of mass information related to protection from harm to the moral and moral health of citizens, especially with regard to minors. In conclusion, the results of the research generated solutions to some existing problems in the field of freedom of information, and formulates the main conclusions of the work performed.
