Transformation of Portrait Interviews on Russian YouTube

The research provides new insight regarding the issue of the transformation of portrait interviews on Russian YouTube. The key objective of the diploma paper is to analyze how the portrait interview is being transformed on Russian YouTube. Diploma paper has a comprehensive structure that helps to indicate significant issues. The first part gives a perception of the concept of classical portrait interview. The second part of the paper is devoted to a discussion of the main trends of Russian YouTube. The third part of the research describes transformation of journalism with the advent and development of YouTube. Finally, the study comes to analyzing the genre of a portrait interview on the example of the most popular Russian YouTube interviews. The results of the research demonstrate that portrait interviews have been transformed in compositional plan and partly in nonverbal elements. There are no changes in communicative structure.
