International Mechanisms of Human Rights Protection in the Middle East

This paper explores the international mechanisms of human rights protection in the Middle East. The violations of human rights in the Middle East are systematic. Moreover, the process of democratization and proclamation of human rights is extremely slow. Ultimately, the process of creating effective mechanisms slows down. The author dwells in detail on a study of countries where the Islam and Islamic law has a strong influence. The introduction describes the relevance of the work, object, subject, method, goals and objectives of research, as well as its structure. In the first chapter the author explores explores the universal mechanisms of human rights protection. The second chapter is dedicated to the regional mechanisms such as the organs of the Council of Europe, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the African Union, and the League of Arab States. In conclusion, the author expresses hope for the reform of international legislation, the expansion of the competence of some international bodies and the implementation of a number of initiatives in regional systems.
