Right to Judicial Protection and Access to Justice

This study analyzes the problem of access to justice. The relevance of the chosen topic is due to the importance of the institution of human and civil rights and freedoms in modern society, as well as the importance of ensuring effective access to the court for all citizens. The author conducted a systematic analysis of the concepts "right to judicial protection" and "accessibility of justice", considered possible parameters for evaluating the effectiveness of justice in terms of its accessibility, studied the organizational, procedural and financial aspects of access to court, identified criteria for "measuring" the level of accessibility in Russia. The author comes to the following conclusions: 1) the right to judicial protection is a multidimensional concept, it is not limited to the right to appeal to the court; 2) the concept of access to justice is a complex and interdisciplinary phenomenon that is not confined to a set of organizational and technical aspects, but also involves the creation of a meaningful environment for the realization of the right to judicial protection; 3) now the process of digitalization of the judicial system is actively going on around the world; 4) the level of access to justice in Russia (according to the selected criteria) can be rated as average.
