Legal Regime of Cross-border Payment Transactions with Electronic Money

The present research is dedicated to the analysis of the features of the legal regulation of cross-border payments with electronic money. To achieve this goal, a study is being made of various approaches to the definition of a number of concepts, using which it is possible to establish the economic and legal nature of electronic money. The first chapter of the present work is devoted to this task. The second chapter discusses the legal regime of electronic money relevant for cross-border payment transactions. The relevant restrictions that reduce the capabilities of the electronic money institute or, conversely, increase confidence in it in cross-border payment transactions are being studied. A study is also conducted on the mechanism of cross-border transfers of electronic money.
