Limits of Application the Rules of Pledge to the Right of Retention

This paper explores the limits of application of the pledge rules to the right of retention. In the first Chapter of the work, the author analyzes the question of applying the rules of possessory pledge to the right of retention. The second Chapter deals with the problem of the possibility of joint retention of a thing by several creditors, as well as the limits of application of the rules on collateral to such creditors. The third Chapter is devoted to the problem of the status of the retentor in case of bankruptcy of the debtor, including the study of limits of application of the rules on the status of a secured creditor in bankruptcy of the debtor.
