Nowadays, we use a lot of plastic items. Usually without thinking about their material and what they were before. Plastic has appeared recently and has changed our world and habitual way of life. The project consists of a visual study "The age of the plastic bag", a book "Plastic that сhanges the World" and a video. Visual research shows the study of plastic bags not only as a subject of packaging, but also as a cultural phenomenon. The first part of the book presents the history of the appearance of the package in the life of a person. The second part examines the mass consumption of plastic bags, from 1950 to the present day. The third part is the analysis of images on the package: logos, graphic patterns, names of cities, companies, products. The last part presents the package as an artistic object and art material that influences fashion and design. "Plastic that сhanges the World" is a book about how plastic appeared and various experiments with this material. Now there is not a single area of human activity where plastic is not used for a wide variety of purposes. Plastic is a useful material, light, durable, cheap. It could replace several other materials. The book consists of three parts: Solid Foundation, Transformation of flows, Plastic atmosphere. The book is a story about the importance of plastic in lives. How plastic made life easier for humanity, made a breakthrough in many areas. Today there is an ambiguous attitude to plastic.
