Large-scale protest movements were held during summer 2019 in Moscow against the rejection to allow the independent candidates to participate in the 2019 Moscow City Duma election. After protests on July 27, the Investigative Committee opened a criminal rioting case against election protesters. Later this process was called the “Moscow case”. Many organizations recognized the defendants in this case as political prisoners. The fate of those who ended up in prison stayed in the shade. The work "Podcast Series "The Prisoners" (Creative Format)" is devoted to the creation of several episodes of narrative audio podcasts with the story of the defendants in the "Moscow case". In the theoretical part of this work, the author explains the reasons for choosing represented topic, and some materials used in the preparation of a podcast are presented. In the creative part presented episodes of the podcast, which consist of monologues of people close to the prisoners, as well as those who help them. Each episode ends with a letter from the main character from the prison or pre-trial detention center. The podcast conveys the image of modern Russian penitentiary and judicial systems. It can be useful for human rights defenders and journalists who specialize in these topics.
