Features of Civil Society Development in BRICS Countries on the Example of Brazil

In 2015, the BRICS member countries established the Civil Forum, held annually under the auspices of the development of cooperation between civil societies, both within states and in the organization as a whole. The purpose of this forum was in cooperation on issues of interaction and development of civil societies within the association, as well as the integration of various civil society actors in the formation of the BRICS agenda and in the decision-making process at the level of this international institution. However, this process has encountered a number of obstacles, both domestic and at the supranational level. This work is devoted to identifying the characteristics of the interaction of the BRICS countries with civil society institutions, as well as examining the characteristics of domestic political relations between the Brazilian government as a member of the BRICS and the country's civil society at various stages.
