Gender violence issue in Russian society is a complex, taboo topic that has recently appeared on the agenda. Nowadays several high-profile cases have already attracted the attention of a wide audience, but it is still a lack of them in Russian media. Moreover, there is no single decision on how the media should cover the topic of gender-based violence, in order not to misrepresent the information. Resources dedicated to the topic of gender-based violence in Russia apply outdated media tools. As a result, it is difficult to use such resources for those who are suffering from violence at the moment, while information remains unavailable row a wider audience. The main purpose of the study – is to create a conception in form of a list of recommendations including most relevant media-tools that can be applied in developing resources dedicated to the topic of gender violence in Russia.
