This study will concentrate on Russian politics and media cases for the past year (from the “Ivan Golunov case” to the adoption of amendments to the Constitution). How did rappers Miron Fedorov and Ivan Dremin become to be perceived as political activists? Why did the audience start to perceive journalist and blogger Yuri Dud as a politician? How has the image of Alena Vodonaeva changed from an ex-participant of a reality show to a blogger with an active political position? Studying the selected cases will help to form the determination of constructing the image of celebrity in modern Russia, and will also become the basis for creating a typology of resources of symbolic politics, which development is insufficient in the relevant studies of symbolic politics at the moment.
