Analysis of the Export Strategy Used by a Russian Music Company: Case of Little Big

The present study aims to analyse the music export strategies in Russia on the case of Little Big band. This theme is poorly studied in the Russian industry and academic field. The majority of the existing works are written by international researches and focus mostly on the cultural element of the process rather than business models. This work covers the main approaches to music export process, local industries successful practices (South Korea and Sweden) and the current export practices of the Russian music industry. The qualitative method of case study was chosen do study the case of Little Big band as one of the most successful export projects. Moreover, the in-depth expert interview was conducted to describe the transformation of the export process and the main issues of it and put the studied case in the broader context.
