Student: Volodin Ivan

Educational Programme: Media Management (Master)

Year of Graduation: 2020

This research describes the specifics of a news management in a 2020 US presidential political campaign. Using case studies as our main method, we analyzed the March 15, 2020 Democratic Presidential Debate, as well as the Impeachment of Donald Trump. We proved that each presidential candidate tries to create its own news agenda, at the same time using the current news agenda. The Impeachment process of Donald Trump showed how the president used Impeachment to manage the news coverage on the largest US conservative news network – Fox News.
