The Fight Against Corruption: Historical Discourse and Modern Methods

The paper considers the history of the formation of the concept of corruption and anti-corruption legislation, analyzes modern measures to counteract corruption. The main problem that hinders the reduction of corruption in Russia lays in the lowering level of democracy. There was conducted a questionnaire that confirmed the correlation between the political regime and the level of corruption in the country. As a result of the study, the problems of modern anti-corruption legislation were outlined and the reason for complexity of the fight against corruption in Russia was identified.
