In my thesis project I propose to look at the interaction of the political and civil life of the single-industry town throught the lense of the imaginary, what role do new media play in such interaction, particularly urban communities on social networks, and in what way industrial past of the 20th century influenced the imaginary of single-industry town inhabitants
