Assessment of Economic Effectivity of the Formula-Based Price Formation on Oil Lubricants

In this research the author assessed the economic effect of formula-based pricing implementation in comparison with traditional fixed pricing in the oil lubricants market. The features of base oil and lubricant markets were covered and necessary conditions for efficient use of formula-based pricing were highlighted. The main assessment method that was used in the study is retrospective analysis of formula-based prices amid high market volatility. In conclusion, the economic expediency of formula-based pricing in oil lubricants market is proved
