This research is aimed at a comprehensive objective analysis of transatlantic relations and the role of the EU in them. Within the framework, the main aspects of EU - US relations were examined, such as common foreign policy, cooperation in the field of security and defense and trade. The factor of the changes in the "balance of power" in international relations and its influence on transatlantic relations was highly considered and analyzed.
