Visual research reveals the topic of body modifications: it examines various intentional (artificial) deformations of the torso, head, neck, legs, and arms. The paper deals with various structural changes of the human body, which are used to emphasize personal and socio-cultural authenticity, independence, correct physical deficiencies, or, on the contrary, emphasize some feature of the body within the framework of fashion, culture, ritual, and so on. The result of the research was the creation of a modern book on the currently unlit topic holistically, then this work helped in the design of a prototype application for smartphones, in which it will be possible to apply various filters, modifications in relation to the virtual model of the user's body.

Student Theses at HSE must be completed in accordance with the University Rules and regulations specified by each educational programme.
