Nowadays, street art is at the center of the public debate about the struggle for self-expression, urban space, democracy within the city and for the stigma of the public regarding to art on the walls. This research will more detailed study the phenomenon of street art in an urban space, reveal its spatial mediation, which will help to look at street art from a different point of view and to reveal its relation to the image building tool in urban space. In order to reach in-depth understanding of the problem, this work will use phenomenological interviews and series of focus groups to analyse urban communication through street art, to identify the perception of street art as an image building tool of urban space and to determine what functions it performs. The study will initiate a change in attitude towards street art as a form of art, what in the future will provide an opportunity to coexist peacefully with other forms of art within the city.
