It is commonly said that civil society does exist in Russia or at least it is in its infancy. But the political events of the summer of 2019 showed once again that the Russian opposition has formed a society of political activists willing to unite for common causes. A series of protests in the summer of 2019 became the "Moscow case", Russian daily rallies of support for the defendants in this and other political Affairs. Political activists react to high-profile events: they go to the courts, stand in the picket lines, organize and attend rallies, organize events. As a graduation work, my colleague Vasily Luzhbin and I shot a documentary "Home protest" about Russian political activists. The aim of the work was to explore the environment of activism, to show the reality in which these people are, to understand what motivates them to devote their lives to activism, to reveal their characters. This work consists of a theoretical note with an overview of films on our topic and a literature review on the approaches and methods of documentary filmmakers, a description of the stages of work and the contribution of the participants, as well as a link to the finished film in the document.
