Addressing the theme of World War II is a frequent occurrence in the media. This is especially relevant in 2020, since it is the time that the 75th anniversary of Victory is celebrated. This work is an attempt to look at history from the perspective of a modern person born in the 90s - a person whose generations were not affected by the events of the war. The project's genre is observation. During the film, the author and his family “investigate” the death of their relative in the war, tracing the path from the very beginning, when the time and place of death are discovered by chance, to a general trip to Poland to the territory of the former Stalag II-B. The main objective of the documentary is to restore the memory of heroes who fell during the war, as well as a demonstration of how, after 80 years, this event still affects people's fates.
