The Bloggers Role in the Construction of the Domestic Violence Problem on Public Discussion Arenas in Russia

The topic of domestic violence has been actively covered in the Russian media in recent years. It is connected with a criminal case of the Khachaturian sisters. Instagram blogger Alexandra Mitroshina and human rights activist Alena Popova launched a flash mob #ЯНеХотелаУмирать to influence the promotion of domestic violence law in Russia. The purpose of the study is to analyze the new public arena - Instagram, where opinion leaders and the creators of the agenda are bloggers, to identify similarities and differences with the classic Public discussion arenas such as court of law. The study also aims to research Russian bloggers covering social topics and identify how they influence the design of the problem of domestic violence. Main methods of this research are qualitative analysis, analysis of theoretical and practical literature, expert interviews and case study. The anticipated results of the research: a typology of factors affecting the throughput of bloggers, the influence of the criterion "image" of bloggers on the reaction of the audience.
