Peculiarities of the Transformations of the Reality in Music Video Clips in Movies in Early 21st Century

In recent years movies with elements of music video clips earned a special place in the film industry. Two of the newest movies such as Aladdin (2019) and Bohemian Rhapsody (2018) even collected more than enough money to be in the list of top 100 films with the biggest box office in years. Definitely, it is an interesting phenomenon not only because of the popularity of such movies. As the latest films showed there are transformations of reality in music video clips in those movies, and this paper aims to investigate these various transformations of music video clips reality that occurred in films with such elements. Moreover, this study intends to find out specifics of those changes. The methods utilized are analysis of the content of ten movies with music video clips in them and analysis of results gathered via 1st method and also systematization of information about music video clips in those chosen films for the research: “Pitch Perfect” (2012), “Pitch Perfect 2” (2015), “Pitch Perfect 3” (2017), “Step up” (2006), “Step up 2: Streets” (2008), “Step up 3D” (2010), “Step up 4” (2012), “Step up: All or Nothing” (2014), “Mamma Mia!” (2008), “Mamma Mia! 2 "(2018).. The study of the Transformations of the Reality in Music Video Clips in Movies in the Early 21st Century is intended to find new insights into this topic and shed more light on music video clips reality in modern movies. The structure of the research will consist of introduction, 1st chapter is about Theory of Music Video Analysis, in 2nd chapter аn analysis of the reality of music videos in films will be carried out and, finally, conclusion.
