This study investigates the relationship between professional critique reviews affect the box office performance of films. Previous studies emphasize the importance of considering the online user reviews as an endogenous factor. In order to achieve the aim of the study and consider the endogenous nature of online user reviews a system of simultaneous equations was constructed. This model will help to empirically confirm the hypothesis about the effect of professional critic reviews on movies’ box office performance. According to the results, a direct relationship between the reviews of professional critics and box office was not found. However, a weak but statistically significant relationship between the reviews of the audience and critics reviews was found.
