The complexity of interfaces of web applications has risen due to the fact that they fulfil more and more different use cases. A systematic approach is needed to successfully design an application. Today a design system is an important tool for interface design teams, however there is yet no standard in working with such tools. The aim of this project is to provide methodologies and examples for anyone working on a design system. To find the appropriate technologies and methodologies, a research in the field of interface design practices has been conducted. Different approaches to building design systems and documenting them have been tested. As a result, this project ought to become a good starting point for anyone who wants to know more about structured interface design. The project is split into theoretical and practical parts. Theoretical part describes methodologies for working with design systems and practical part is an example of a design system built upon those methodologies.
