The "Total installation of deconstructed objects" is an artwork for which the research of the context and background was necessary. The objects of the past attract a large number of people, but in post-soviet Russia a special situation has developed. There is a trend which has become popular nowadays. That is connected with a phenomenon of collecting elements of the soviet past by young people such as soviet furniture, houseware, carpets, etc. People integrate these things into contemporary spaces and interiors. Even there are special agencies that reconstruct soviet furniture for harmonious existence in contemporary interiors. The project aims to create an artwork that demonstrates the new situation which appeared in modern society. Contemporary artists have been working with this context by 30 years. Furniture is significant image of conceptualism in the art. Many different artists have worked with it. Furniture was widely used in the installations of soviet conceptualists and also many contemporary Russian artists continue to access these objects and context of their works of art. They use many different methods when they are working with the widespread objects and meanings. The main aim of this research is finding out the methods of work of contemporary artists with the elements of the past when they tell about the context of modern Russian society. During the research three different types of content were studied (documentary photos, works of conceptualist and realist artists).
