The following research paper examines the role of intercultural interaction with Western European countries for the development of feminism in Russia. The study provides a more nuanced picture of the history of feminism in Russia in terms of its cooperation with foreign liberation ideas. The purpose of the research is to determine the degree of influence of foreign feminist thought on the evolution of the status of Russian women. Several tasks were identified to achieve this goal: to analyze the legal position of Russian women before and after cross-cultural cooperation, to refer to the works of foreign specialists in Russian Philology for a comprehensive analysis of the issue, to examine the feminist discourse in various language families, as well as to identify specific examples of cooperation between women's organizations and channels of information transfer. As a result of the research, it was found that the European women's movement provided invaluable support in the formation of domestic feminism. Despite the socio-cultural features of our country's development, foreign ideas were able to influence the patriarchal consciousness of society and put it on the path of development which is demonstrated by concrete historical examples. During the study of this issue, it was recommended to continue the process of cross-cultural cooperation for the development of public consciousness in our country. The importance of this process was demonstrated by a concrete historical example of solving the women's issue in Russia.
