Each of us wondered about parallel worlds, the existence of rebirth and the cyclical nature of life. And, in most cases, this follows from the desire to escape from one’s physical environment, everyday problems and everyday life into another world, the world of dreams. Immersion in work, deep thought, reading books, social isolation, video gaming, films, cross-stitching, a love of travel or even going into religion. In modern society there exists the special term - escapism. In a psychological interpretation, escapism contains the idea that any individual has such a component of his consciousness and mind that forces a person to constantly create new points of attraction to which his consciousness tends to "escape." The goal of this graduation project was to create a light-art installation using neon and reflective surfaces, able to create the viewer's impressions like the one he or she gets from watching fantastic blockbusters. The project’s purpose is give a short-term escape from reality and fuss and start a dialogue about other worlds and universes, the existence of which we can only guess. In modern art, light lies somewhere between the subjective associations of the artist and the existing meaning. Neon, as before, has a hypnotic effect even on our visually spoiled generation, whose tastes are so sophisticated that finding sources of surprise every day is becoming more difficult. Neon has an absolutely magical effect, creates new meanings and is an endless source of inspiration. Based on the facts that art is one of the ways of self-knowledge, both in the natural science and in the religious picture of the perception of the world, and the mere reflection of a mysterious neon can make the viewer plunge into the world of visual illusions, make him doubt what he really sees. The project is intended to show the idea of creating a light-art installation combining art and science, giving a unique sensory experience for the viewer.
