Business Applications of Reputational Mathematical Models

The main aim of reputation systems is therefore to support the establishment of trust between unfamiliar parties. Trust is a fundamental aspect for the acceptance and use of these new services. Reputation is commonly referred to as the measure of the trustworthiness of users in online communities. Recent advances in ICT have led to a vast and rapid development of e-services and technology. However, to facilitate their acceptance, reputation models should be able to deal with the trustworthiness of users in online communities. The purpose of this study is to analyze the main reputation models according to a certain set of performance criteria and to create recommendations for choosing the optimal reputation model. The following research methods will be used in the research: comparative analysis, analysis of the documents (legal documents, websites), mathematical modelling, content analysis, However, to fully exploit the potentials of e-services (e.g., e-commerce, e-business, e-health) and facilitate their adoption, it is important to establish and manage trust amongst the parties involved in the transactions.
