Student: Samotoy Nikita

Educational Programme: Legal History, Theory and Philosophy of Law (Master)

Year of Graduation: 2020

Language in the XX century turns from a descriptive system of signs into the main means of expression and definition of the world. Linguistic analysis has become an important stage in the development of modern philosophy of law and still remains a relevant field of research, since it created a universal scheme for disclosing the representative content of a legal concept. The purpose of the study is to identify the main provisions of the concept of linguistic analysis and assess its significance for the development of modern legal thought. Achieving the goal will help to eliminate the gap in the domestic philosophical and legal literature, as well as to familiarize the Russian reader with the developing field of language philosophy research in the context of law abroad. In this work, special attention will be paid to the work of G. Hart, since in a sense the modern understanding of the philosophy of law is largely his merit. It was after G. Hart that the comprehension of the nature of law became an independent object of study, avoiding unnecessary contexts from the sphere of moral and political.
