The Peculiarities of Gender Inequality in Contemporary China

The object of research is gender inequality in China. The subject of the study is the peculiarities of gender inequality, which underestimate the standard of living of the Chinese population. The paper consists of introduction, three chapters, conclusion and list of references. The introduction reveals the relevance of the selected topic, describes the aims and objectives of the work. The purpose of the study is to analyze the causes of the imbalance between the sexes, consider examples from Chinese interviews, analyze the causes, consequences and ways to minimize gender inequality in China. The first chapter discusses the causes of the formation of gender inequality in Chinese society, both in the historical context and in modern times. The second chapter is devoted to various areas in which gender inequality is appeared, as well as a number of real-life examples. The third chapter describes the consequences of the phenomenon and possible ways to solve it. In conclusion, the executed work is summarized, finding are drawn up on the identified causes and consequences of gender inequality, and methods for leveling gender inequality proposed during the study are formulated. The results can provide an information base on the characteristics of gender inequality in China, improve the understanding of the situation in this area, and also provide ways to reduce inequality between the sexes.
