The phenomenon of death and its reflection in the literary monuments of Japan (8th-20th centuries)

Perception of death is one of the fundamental concepts in culture, and therefore is one of the central topics in literature, including Japanese. In the course of the study, similarities and differences in the mapping of the phenomenon of death were revealed on the basis of a studying literary monuments of Japan of the VIII-XX centuries. An analysis of the consideration of scientific works and copyright works of Japanese writers led to the conclusion about the degree of influence of objective reality, the ideology of society on the presentation of the theme of death, on understanding the role that the phenomenon of death takes up in Japanese culture and the mentality of the Japanese people. It was found that the phenomenon of death in Japanese culture is a phenomenon that was closely intertwined with everyday life and for many centuries was perceived as a kind of transition to another form of being and existence.
