Influence of Corporate Sponsorship in the Esports Industry on the Dynamics of Company Share Prices

This paper analyzes the effectiveness Of mergers and acquisitions in the eSports industry. This industry shows the annual growth of its market, which attracts a lot of attention from investors. The paper reviews current trends in the eSports market. The analysis of M&a transactions in eSports around the world and their development is carried out. The review of scientific research highlighted various motives for mergers and acquisitions and the analysis of their effectiveness. To conduct an empirical study to assess the effectiveness of M&A in the eSports industry, a mixed method was used, including several methods: the study of returns on financial assets (shares), analysis of financial parameters (ROE, ROA, EA) and regression analysis. In addition, the chosen methods differ from each other in the time horizon of the study (short-term and long-term), which contributes to a comparative assessment of the results obtained on the effectiveness of M&a in the eSports industry. The scientific novelty of the research is the systematization and study of scientific research in order to determine the methodology for evaluating the effectiveness of M&a transactions in the eSports industry. The practical significance of the final work is determined by the ability to use in practice the obtained results of the empirical study of firms operating in the industry of eSports, information and consulting agencies, other entities involved in Contracting M&A market of eSports.
