Analysis of Negative Investments in Health Capital

The purpose of this study is to study the influence of microeconomic factors on negative investments in health capital. In the research process, health capital was considered as an investment good, depending on the individual making a decision; identified factors affecting negative investments in health capital; an overview of the results of empirical studies in this scientific field is presented; analyzed the features of positive and negative investments in health capital; The relevance of public policy measures and their impact on negative investments in health capital is assessed. In the practical part of this thesis, a study was made of the influence of microeconomic factors on negative investments in health capital on the panel data of the RLMS for the period 2010 - 2018. Negative investments in health capital were defined as five separate binary dependent variables: the fact of tobacco consumption; fact of consumption of alcoholic beverages; the fact of lack of physical activity; negative nutritional practices and negative disease prevention practices. As a result, for most of the models in this study, we were not able to find grounds for rejecting the tested research hypotheses.
