The work is devoted to the study of methods for assessing license fees in international licensing by contract parties. In modern market conditions one of the urgent tasks is to develop effective methods and criteria for valuing the utility and value of intellectual property rights. Most studies focus on license transactions objective assessment, paying little attention to how the parties to the contract evaluate the future profits of the transaction. The paper considers a method for assessing the terms of a license transaction as a real option with binomial pricing for each contract side. The results of the study are recommendations on the use of this method in assessing international licensing transactions as investment projects.
