Specifics of the Lean Product Management Adaptation by International Telecom Companies in Different Countries Exemplified by Telefonica

The following work focuses on the analysis of the lean product management adaptation influence on international telecom companies. According to Womack and Jones (1996), lean product management identifies and removes wastes of production while increasing the overall quality of goods and services. Lean product management adaptation is aimed on improving business-processes, which can give a sufficient competitive advantage in the highly-competitive telecom industry. In order to identify the influence of lean product management adaptation we have analyzed existing scientific research and business publications related to the researched topic, anlyzed the case-study of international telecom company Telefonica, conducted our own survey among the product managers from telecom industry. The conducted research made it possible for us to identify the influence of lean product management adaptation influence on international telecom companies. Therefore, we have summarized and explained LPM adaptation benefits and barriers actual for international telecom companies, given recommendations to international telecom companies and recommendations for the further research.
