The article studies the issues of the attitude to the Russian Federation on the basis of the linguacultural analysis of Russian modern image in South Korean social media and official documents of South Korean government. In this paper we presented the results of the linguacultural analysis conducted in the end of 2019 and beginning of 2020 on the materials of the President’s official speeches in which the Russian Federation was mentioned and that were taken from the Cheong Wa Dae’s website and on the materials from South Koreans’ blogs on such web platforms as Instagram and Twitter. In order to analyze the articles about Russia published by Koreans we will use two types of qualitative analysis: content analysis and discourse analysis. The content analysis helps us to find linguistic units that are connected with specific background of certain text and also to identify propaganda and bias in the articles. The discourse analysis is used to find out what values of certain fragments are. Key words: an image of the Russian Federation, South Korean social media, official documents, linguacultural analysis, Cheong Wa Dae, Instagram, Twitter, content analysis, discourse analysis
