In a situation of rapidly changing business models and digital innovations, working capital appears to be an important measure of liquidity level, operational efficiency, and financial health of global international companies. Today, there is plenty of opportunities for improvement in the area of working capital. Therefore, many international companies are beginning to optimize their working capital, as it is one of the major methods of unlocking cash in the global situation of economic uncertainty. Global international companies are starting to exploit their possibilities to create value through working capital improvement. Today, global international FMCG companies are under the worldwide pressure of growing rates of margins which leads to huge investments into sustainable growth, innovations, and progressive technologies. These vital issues show the importance of freeing up cash, and working capital optimization appears to be an affordable method of generating value in the form of cash funds.
