Analysis of Market Reaction to "Buyback" Ads (Industry Breakdown)

In this work, the object of the study is the reaction of the American market, and the subject will be corporate events in the form of a “buyback” announcement, which will precisely affect the stock prices of the same companies. This study can be put into practice. The managers and top managers of companies from different industries, having analyzed the results of work, will be able to achieve the optimal result in the future after the repurchase of shares. This information will help investors in building their investment strategies after the announcement of the repurchase of shares.       In this paper, there are distinctive features compared to others. The main one is that the comparison of market reactions by industry will occur in two opposite time periods (2010 is the year of economic recovery (stage of recovery); 2019 is the year of economic slowdown (stage of recession)).
