EU External Economic Strategy for Countries of Africa

This graduation work is devoted to the analysis of EU External Economic Strategy for Countries of Africa. First of all, the theoretical foundations of the EU trade policy, the place and role of African countries in the EU foreign economic policy will be analyzed, the main directions of trade and economic cooperation between the EU and Africa (export of raw materials and EU counter-financial investments) will be determined. Next, a historical overview of the EU trade policy directions with respect to ACP countries (and in particular, Africa) and the main economic indicators of cooperation (in the 1960s and 2000s) will be carried out. The following basic international agreements of the Yaundé, Lomei Conventions, Cotonou Treaty are also subject to analysis. Among other things, features of strategies for developing relations between the European Union and African countries, the main problems of cooperation between the EU and African countries that have emerged over the previous half-century history of economic cooperation, and the priorities of the EU countries in developing relations with African countries will be considered.
