This work will focus on comparing the two European Union agreements between Canada and Japan. According to many experts, the WTO has been unable to fully reflect economic changes. Against this background, the European Union began creating Intercontinental agreements to partially replace the WTO and consolidate trade and economic relations with other countries. The European Union like other developed countries is finding it increasingly difficult to defend its trade policy within the WTO. This paper aims to study and compare the two free trade area agreements. We will conduct a comparative analysis of these agreements to identify the positive aspects for countries, as well as differences and possible consequences for their economies. We will analyze the theories of international economic integration, then choose the most appropriate type of cooperation. Then we will compare the indicators of trade and economic expectations from both agreements. This study will help to look deeper into the current trends in the development of international trade and economic relations, and to study the possible consequences and barriers to the implementation of such relations between countries.
