The Measurement of Optimal Resource Level for Economic Growth of Russian Regions

This thesis examines the relationship of economic growth and resources in Russia`s regions. The study reveals a non-linear relationship between the share of resources in the economy of the region and the Gross Regional Product. Moreover, the heterogeneity of the studied dependence is established, which is determined by the specifics of the region. The study also suggests the creation of institutional development index for Russia`s regions, which was taken into account in the model. Panel data analysis was performed using 4 different econometric models.
