The relevance of the chosen topic is determined by new trends in the global customer electronics market. The purpose of this study is to determine the positions of Japanese companies in the conditions of a dynamic competitive environment. The recent situation remains understudied in the context of new Asian players who manage to successfully capture market shares. This problem is common to Japanese companies as large manufacturers in the industry. A set of specialized marketing analyses for Sony Corporation will enable to investigate the activities of companies and formulate a list of potential threats. Besides, the list of factors that negatively influence the competitiveness of the Japanese companies is made, potential risks are estimated and recommendations on their elimination are given.
